We booked a deal with secret escapes and was a fantastic offer £250 for two nights, free parking, breakfast and dinner both nights Parking- loads of parking so no issue Hotel- from outside doesn’t look great but inside is lovely. Reception was so friendly and explained everything. Room- was clean and nice. Pillows and mattress quite hard and not something we like but others may. Bathroom shower was great! Restaurant- we had a 3 course set menu and nice choice service again really nice but drinks were slow and food too fast. So we finished starter and we were asked if we wanted mains and we hadn’t even had a drink personally needs to slow down and speed up on drinks But overall really happy with the quality and the food was good! Staff really are lovely and the chefs are great! If it wasn’t for the mattress and pillows would be 5

Rooms spotless and facilities excellent . Sadly we find the beds in the holiday in. Express much more comfortable . Breakfast is good but grab a waitress to order anything not out already . Restaurant ( marco Pierre white ) very good , best fish and chips in a long time and they mix a mean cocktail . Pricey and they had to sort out our room as our adjoining rooms ( disabled son) had been messed around with, but all good in the end .

Great experience attentive pleasant staff rooms and facilities are great my only complaint is we paid for breakfast for each day of our visit and was told it would be served between 8 and 10 am sharp on our last day we went to the dining area only to be told it closed at 9am the 10 am was only weekend and bank holidays which wasn't communicated to us at the start of our stay so paid £15 each for a bowl of cereal a slice of toast and cup of coffee!! Not happy as was looking forward to a full cooked breakfast to set us up for the long journey home

Fantastic welcoming front desk, all the staff were very professional. Free parking on site. Our room was unbelievably good. Evening meal was excellent, again all the staff were super. Breakfast was second to none, nothing was too much trouble, staff are so well trained it made our stay so good. Would definitely recommend this hotel, mainly because of the superb stall, ( especially the pretty lady with tattoos behind the bar, sorry for not remembering your name)

Not Pet Friendly

I booked this hotel via secret escapes. Information said “pet friendly” Received confirmation so emailed the hotel to inform them I was bringing my dog. Was informed there would be an extra charge of £15 a night, ok, can understand that. . Also Received an email saying he was not allowed in the restaurant (which I totally understand) or the bar. Breakfast would be room service or we could leave him in the room. Personally I would not say this hotel was “Pet friendly” as advertised. Either dogs are accepted or not. Just incase you are thinking about booking and taking a pet.

Unfortunately with third party sites there is a limit to what we are able to display which is why we send out the pet policy before arrival so there are no surprises. While we understand your concerns about the restrictions in certain areas of the hotel as we only have one bar and restaurant we have to strike a balance to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, including those who may have allergies or other concerns. As you mention we are more than happy to serve breakfast in your room or for that matter dinner from the MPW restaurant should you wish.
